What Is TRX?
Clinical Suspension Training (CST), or exercise using suspension straps, is a neuromuscular exercise method that allows the body to perform active movements while the limbs are supported by straps.
The dynamic instability created by the straps requires the body to activate different muscle groups to maintain the correct position.
Exercises across multiple planes and joints are performed using body weight and gravity as resistance.
The method can be adapted to each patient’s needs, with a wide variety of exercises serving different purposes: muscle relaxation, joint mobility, traction, stability, sensory and motor coordination training, and strengthening.
What are the benefits?
Clinical Suspension Training is a useful therapeutic exercise tool. It delivers significant results in activating the muscles of the trunk and limbs correctly, increasing strength and range of movement, restoring stability and improving neuromuscular coordination.
It aims to prevent injury, reduce symptoms and movement deficits, improve function, increase physical activity and prevent reinjury in musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and other conditions requiring therapeutic exercise.
