Hosand Telemetric Heart Rate Monitor

Therapeutic Exercise Using Hosand GT.a (Telemetric Heart Rate Monitor)

What is it?

Accurate monitoring of cardiorespiratory parameters (endurance level, heart rate, oxygen uptake, etc.) matters in both individual and group rehabilitation. We use the HOSAND GT.a system: a transmitter worn on a simple chest strap to record the heartbeat, a receiver, a synchronisation box and software. The transmitter sends heart rate data from the strap to the receiver in real time. A computer collects, organises and analyses the data, displaying detailed information on screen.

What are the benefits?

HOSAND GT.a monitors the heart rates of 1 to 32 participants at the same time, allowing us to record and assess each person’s effort (exercise intensity) as they exercise. The readings guide the physiotherapist in planning therapeutic exercise: structured, repetitive physical activity to improve fitness. They can adjust intensity or change the exercise immediately to meet each participant’s needs and help them reach their goals quickly. Therapeutic exercise with HOSAND GT.a can reduces resting heart rate, improve blood pressure at rest and during activity, improve metabolism and increase cardiorespiratory endurance, supporting better function and quality of life. Therapeutic exercise with Hosand is also recommended for patients with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke and cardiorespiratory conditions.
