Flossing

Kinetic Flossing

What is it?

Kinetic Flossing
uses special elastic rubber-latex bands
(Flossbands) to treat musculoskeletal conditions
and sports injuries. Their specific tensile resistance and surface grip allow
the required compression. The therapist applies strong ischaemic strapping to
the treatment area, combining
Kinetic Flossing with passive or active
mobilisation, specialist mobilisation techniques or low-intensity exercise
(Blood Flow Restriction Training). Surgical stainless-steel instruments are also
used to treat myofascial dysfunction.

What are the benefits?

The physiotherapist incorporates Kinetic Flossing into rehabilitation for
musculoskeletal and sports conditions to reduce pain, increase range of
movement, improve performance, reduce muscle fatigue, accelerate recovery after
training, improve local blood supply and enhance strengthening exercises. It is
used to support rehabilitation for Achilles tendinopathies, patellofemoral pain
and chondropathy,
tennis elbow, adductor strains and other conditions.
