Sports injuries affect all ages and sexes across different sports. They can result from acute trauma or from overuse and repeated loading of the upper limbs, lower limbs or spine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e58094 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1e58094\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">WHEN DOES IT HELP?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d00150c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d00150c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Common sports injuries we treat in the lower limbs include meniscal and cruciate ligament tears, medial or lateral collateral ligament tears, quadriceps strains, hip bursitis, adductor strains, hamstring strains, athletic pubalgia, iliotibial band syndrome, runner&#8217;s knee, toe stress fractures, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis and foot sprains. Upper limb conditions include rotator cuff tendinopathy, biceps tendinitis, tennis elbow, golfer&#8217;s elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. At TherapyLab physiotherapy clinics, we use specialist assessment systems, including the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Performance Stability Screening, to identify weak links in each body region that may have influenced or caused the injury.<\/p><p>The sports physiotherapist uses the sports assessment results and specialised treatment protocols to create an individualised therapeutic exercise plan.
